This is an image of one-half of the Hubble Space Telescope field of view in the Sagittarius Window Eclipsing Extrasolar Planet Search (SWEEPS).
The TRAPPIST-1 system contains a total of seven known Earth-sized planets. Three of them — TRAPPIST-1e, f and g — are located in the habitable zone of the star shown in green
These spectra show the chemical makeup of the atmospheres of four of the Earth-sized planets orbiting within or near the habitable zone of the star TRAPPIST-1.
A team of British and American astronomers used data from several telescopes on the ground and in space - among them the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope.
